“The one word I would use to describe Joanne’s home is “peaceful”. The location is quiet, and the yard is very well kept. It is the perfect place for running around with kids, and watching the sunset and stars around the campfire. The wood stove inside offered a cozy alternative to the campfire, and evenings were spent reading and relaxing. The welcome basket was thoughtful, and won the kids (and adults!) over right away. All in all it was the perfect getaway for our little family of four, as it made for a quiet retreat after our day trips to the surrounding areas (Sandbanks, Wellington, Waupoos, Picton, etc.). Highly recommend.”

A one-room school house from 1866 to 1966, Scott’s School was a hub for the local community and served as many as 40 children in a given year, ranging from grades 1 to 8. You can still see the two foot thick stone walls and original wood floors with scorch marks from the old wood stove.
“We had such a wonderful time on our trip to PEC. The house was set on a serene and lovely property and had all the comforts of home. Joanne was a wonderful and thoughtful host and my kids were thrilled about the cabinet full of games/toys and the special touches. The house was equipped with everything you would need such as beach items, bikes, even an echo/smart speaker, and many TVs. There were beautiful lights on the back deck at night, and we enjoyed our meals watching the sunset and seeing the big dipper.”
